On arrival in Kotor, I walked into town. It was immediately impressive with steep walls for so the way to the mountain and walls in town and an impressive city gate. I find my accommodation and went for an explore. Later I met my friend for lunch, then we did the fortress climb. This involved walking up steep steps for about 40 minutes getting higher and higher and theoretically better views. I say theoretically, as the first fires were causing a lot of smoke that made it harder to see. There was a nice but ruined fort at the top where we stood for photos before heading back down. In the evening, food was provided in the way of free mussels and spritz followed by an inexpensive tasty meal. After this there was beer pong and drinks.
