The next place to see after Kotor was Perast. I looked at options to get a bus there, then on to Dubrovnik, but this didn't seem to be an option. So I got a bus to Perast anyway. From the bus stop, it was a short, steep walk down to the sea front. From here I took a 10 minute boat ride took to a church on a tiny island. After many photos and a return boat ride, I wanted to take a bus either onwards or back to Kotor. After no buses for a few minutes a couple returned to their car. I asked them if a lift might be possible, and they generously agreed to take me back to Kotor. From here I got a bus to Dubrovnik. It was a scenic journey along the coast, but on the way there were many forest fires in the mountains. Queues were very long at the border, but the driver took a cunning shortcut, and we weren't much delayed by this.

Dubrovnik has an amazing old town, but very crowded. I met people at my accommodation, and we all went out for dinner, drinks and even a bit of impromptu street salsa!
