I got up early as I had an appointment to get my plaster cast closed. This was pretty quick, so I went back to bed briefly. Then it was time for the real escape plan. I took the train to Vienna.

As I wouldn't be in Vienna long, I checked into a place near the station, and took the metro into the centre. There was lots to see, so I simply wandered about taking in the sights until I got to the Opera House where they were showing live opera on a big TV. Then I checked out the famous Cafe Sacher for Sacher cake. I continued on and eventually stopped for dinner and after more wandering.
