Next morning we headed off in the rain, and headed through the mountains and onto the motorway and got to the river/lake that marks the border between Bosnia and Romania. We had some lunch at a riverside restaurant, then headed along the river where there was a castle, Golubac, to see, but unfortunately not look round as it was not accessible. We continued to the border and met a fellow biker, Pierre from France, and decided to head into Romania together. We headed to the town nearest the border, but it seemed to be having a festival, so there was no accommodation. No matter, we thought and continued up towards the mountains with a view to stopping at the next town. Unfortunately, they also seemed to be having a festival too, and people were pouring in from miles around. So we continued up the hill. We eventually found a nice place with room and a good restaurant, but it was rather later than we'd hoped to arrive somewhere.
