Whilst we had seen a lot the previous day, some of it was a little rushed, so we wanted to see it again at a more leisurely pace. Firstly, we went back to the area of the Dervish house. Above this was a big fortress, so we climbed up to check out the inside and the impressive views. Then we went down to look around the Dervish house. After an emergency I've cream, as it was very hot out, we went to the river and did a mini boat trip into the cave. The cave didn't go as far as I thought, but there were allegedly lots more caves if you dive down under the water, and the water continues on for at least another 19km. After this we returned into town and explored around the many bomb destroyed buildings around town. Then we went to the old town and checked out the famous old bridge. For sunset, we climbed up the ruins of an old bank, which had become a sniper tower during the war and watched the sun setting. From here there were amazing views of the city, and also into the mountains. Unfortunately, some of the mountains were on fire with forests fires, so we watched a helicopter bringing in water to try to put out the fires. This lone helicopter was not enough to stop the fires and by the time we headed down, there were more fires not less. We then tried to get an early night as there was an early train to catch next morning.
